in my creative writing class yesterday, we had an exercise in imagery/"show," not "tell." we first rewrote sentences to make them more interesting. then, we were given the task to write a poem about love (any kind of love) without ever using the word love, and by avoiding obvious cliches; to show what love is, instead of saying "THIS is love." i came up with this!( Read more... )
